Being the first of its kind in the region, Vasilis Restaurant started off as a traditional fish tavern and has been serving high quality cuisine since 1978. Today, the menu offers a wide range of salads and fresh greens, inventive pasta dishes, the popular wood-fired pizza and meat and fish courses. It focuses on delicious, simple cuisine and the use of local ingredients.
The restaurant offers classic Greek and mediterranean cuisine with particular regional highlights and specialties. It almost goes without saying that Vasilis Restaurant puts a focus on seasonal produce (quite a lot of it nearby foraged, probably). Top quality olives, extra virgin olive oil, aromatic thyme honey, juicy tomatoes, delicious watermelons and local dairy products are some of the local treasures used by our chef.
Apart from their charming taste, the use of locally-sourced ingredients and produce is a means to preserve the island’s culinary traditions, while contributing in creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable world.
